Korean rap music sensation Psy (Park Jae-Sang) performed at Sydney's famous Marquee nightclub at midnight last night.

It was obvious one or two VIP's and high rollers were in town, with police having a strong presence in and around the one time casino - now more an intergrated entertainment and gaming hub, complete with nightclubs and entertainment attractions a plenty.

The only thing - person Marquee Sydney and The Star was missing was Psy, and now that's complete how will they top that! We hear maybe with KISS, The Rolling Stones and / or Blondie and Pink, but that's just rumour at this stage... but do expect at least one of those big time acts to follow in Psy's footsteps.

The music video for "Gangnam Style" is the most viewed K-pop video on YouTube, and also the most "liked" video on the site. Published on July 15, 2012, the video has over 480 million views, and more than 4.1 million "likes." Psy has appeared on numerous television programs, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extra, Good Sunday: X-Man, The Golden Fishery, The Today Show, Saturday Night Live and Sunrise.

Stay tuned and don't change your dial for more hot news on Psy and more of the world's top entertainment attractions.

Savages red carpet movie premiere at Event Cinemas, Sydney, Australia - 10th October 2012

Benicio Del Toro attends red carpet movie premier; Event Cinemas, Sydney, Australia Profiles

Movies Hollywood Sydney Entertainment Australia

Savages enjoyed its red carpet premiere in Sydney, Australia tonight.

Savages star Benicio Del Toro told media meeting real ex-drug cartel members was a similar feeling to climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

"You go in strapped and you go in protected in some ways but you don't want to get too goofy or something like that, or you might fall off the bridge. Or you might just end up chopped liver," Del Toro told press.

Del Toro, who's in Australia to promote Savages, plays sadistic Mexican cartel enforcer Lado in the movie.

It's been reported that Del Toro was the one who took director Oliver Stone to Mexico to meet some "heavies" - a piece of news he found surprising.

"I was the one with the connections?" he says.

"That's people that believe the characters that I play.

"No, actually we went down to Mexico, but I wasn't the one with the connections."

Regardless, he says the meeting was terrifying but invaluable to him and the cast.

"We met some people down there (in Mexico), we met some people in LA (Los Angeles) too, on both sides of this war on drugs, and it was very interesting, very informative for the preparation of the characters," he says.

ABOUT SAVAGES:

Laguna Beach entrepreneurs Ben (Taylor-Johnson), a peaceful and charitable Buddhist, and his closest friend Chon (Kitsch), a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary, run a lucrative, homegrown industry—raising some of the best marijuana ever developed. They also share a one-of-a-kind love with the extraordinary beauty Ophelia (Lively). Life is idyllic in their Southern California town…until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to move in and demands that the trio partners with them.

When the merciless head of the BC, Elena (Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Del Toro), underestimate the unbreakable bond among these three friends, Ben and Chon—with the reluctant, slippery assistance of a dirty DEA agent (Travolta)—wage a seemingly unwinnable war against the cartel. And so begins a series of increasingly vicious ploys and manoeuvres in a high stakes, savage battle of wills.

Based on the hit movie of the same name starring Reese Witherspoon, LEGALLY BLONDE is the award-winning London and Broadway sensation created by a top-of-their-class creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray). LEGALLY BLONDE ran for three triumphant years in the West End, over two years on Broadway and is currently on a major UK Tour playing to packed houses. Winner of seven major awards including the coveted Best New Musical 2011 (Olivier Awards®) this all singing, all dancing romantic comedy is about knowing who you are and showing what you’ve got! The Australian Premiere of this award-winning Broadway and West End sensation was secured for Sydney with the assistance of the NSW Government through Destination NSW and the City of Sydney.

The Sydney Lyric Theatre is going to be host to the famous musical 'Legally Blonde'.

Legally Blonde The Musical is the hilarious story of college sweetheart and homecoming queen, Elle Woods - a girl who doesn't take no for an answer. When her boyfriend dumps her for someone "serious", Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books and heads for Harvard Law School! Along the way, she proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Legally Blonde The Musical - Winner of Best Musical 2011 Olivier Awards and a smash hit running into its third year on the West End was created by a world-class creative team led by Tony Award-winning director Jerry Mitchell.

Based on the movie starring Reese Witherspoon and remaining true to the script, Legally Blonde the Musical is a feel-good number with a '90s feel.

College sweetheart Elle heads off to law school to win back her boyfriend Warner after he dumps her for someone more serious, only to graduate top of her class and find a far better love interest.

Warner, too, finds the courage to dump family expectations of a career in law and politics and pursue his true calling as a model.

"I've seen it on Broadway and the West End and it's great. It really does do the movie justice," leading actress Lucy Durack says.

"I love the role of Elle. As much as she looks like she hasn't a care in the world, people are unkind to her and judge her and she struggles with that.

"But she takes a positive path and rises above it. She doesn't take the low road, ever. The whole show is a celebration - be who you are, the best version of yourself, and be proud."
